Meet Jim Kaminske, a true Florida legend born and bred in Palm Beach County! From his roots in West Palm Beach to growing up in Riviera Beach and Lake Park, Jim’s been a proud local for over 60 years, now calling Palm Beach Gardens home. Married to his high school sweetheart, Lisa, for four incredible decades, they’ve raised two trailblazing kids, Ryan and Lauren, who are carving their own paths in the world.
Jim’s hustle started young—mowing lawns at 13 with an entrepreneurial fire that never quit. By 16, he was sparking his career in the electrical trade, working summers and after school. At just 18, he made history as Palm Beach County’s youngest licensed journeyman electrician—a title he earned through grit and talent. Guided by his mantra, “Do the best job with the best materials, and your reputation will outshine any ad,” Jim built a legacy of excellence.
In 1990, spotting a gap in the market, Jim founded Creative Illuminations, a game-changing, full-service electrical company. His vision? To blend cutting-edge electrical work, innovative lighting design, and smart automation into seamless, jaw-dropping experiences for homeowners and businesses alike. As Creative Illuminations grew, it became a beacon for stunning lighting solutions and intuitive controls, transforming spaces with artistry and precision. Today, Jim’s passion for illuminating lives continues to shine brighter than ever!
